3D Projects

Kitten Model

The scope of this project was to create a semi-realistic kitten model with fur. This project has helped me learn Houdini and also deepened my observational skills, I have used plenty of reference from both real-life and animation, trying to carefully pay close attention to every detail. I texture-painted the model using real-life fur patterns and then forwarded that information to the groom material in Houdini. This project gave me a lot of problems which I was very happy and eager to find solutions to.

Programs used in this project: Houdini, ZBrush, Maya and Adobe Photoshop.

The Creator

I came up with the idea of this character from reading a fantasy novel series, specifically "Mistborn" by Brandon Sanderson, the novel approaches the subject of gods and higher beings throughout the story and that is what inspired me to create this character. The Creator is a god and I portrayed it in the middle of creating life. The scope of this project was to create a semi-realistic model, focusing on anatomy and storytelling through the use of details. I created a translucent skin material within Arnold that gave me the opportunity to play with light emission from inside the body.

Programs used in this project: Maya, ZBrush, Adobe Photoshop

City Environment

I created this scene as a quick sketch and to study and observe atmosphere and lighting. The scene represents a city environment at night with the focus being on the mood. I used a combination of online assets and building textures which I edited in 3D to achieve this scene. On the right I presented the process of making this scene.

Programs used in this project: Blender, Adobe Photoshop.

Hydra

EDULAjQXYAEg95h.jfif

With this project I tried to depict a mythological Hydra creature from Greek mythology, I gave this concept my own spin and implemented some dragon characteristics. I tried to create a body full of veins and I did that through the use of procedural displacement textures which helped me easily change and iterate the body until I found the right look.

Programs used in this project: Blender, Adobe Photoshop.

Anubis

In this project I created the bust of Anubis from the Egyptian mythology. I sculpted this in ZBrush as a quick sketch and then imported it into Blender to create this artwork. I tried giving the model realistic characteristics and to stray away a bit from the original Anubis.

Programs used in this project: ZBrush, Blender, Adobe Photoshop.
